Crafty Christmas Now is a great time to start making handmade gifts & decorations!

A handmade present is so much more than the gift itself. The thought, time and effort put into even a simple creation shows the recipient how special they are to you.

We have ideas and materials to help you create totally original gifts and decorations this year...

Off-Cut Packs - We use all-natural fibres, which are manufactured into cloth in the UK by skilled weavers and then lovingly turned into our products. The fabric that unavoidably gets cut off in production is not waste, it just hasn't realised it's potential... yet!

Each pack contains a unique mix of fabrics, featuring combinations of wool, silk, mohair, chenille and cashmere. Inside the bag, there will be five pieces roughly A4 sized, and ten smaller pieces so you will have lots of material to work with. Make toys, pincushions, bunting, fabric pompoms, coasters, cushions, patchwork bags, footballs - the possibilities are endless.

Festive Wreath Kits - our kits provide you with all the materials you need to make your own colourful Wallace Sewell wreath, plus full instructions. Suitable for total craft beginners, these wreaths are made using our selvedge ribbons, which are cut-off during the weaving process but are too beautiful to throw away. Each kit contains a variety of ribbons in different patterns and colours, so your wreath will be totally unique!

The first of our Wreath-Making Craft Evenings takes place tomorrow evening, with another next Thursday. If you were lucky enough to book a place, we look forward to seeing you but if you didn't, don't worry! We will be recording the tuition part of the evening so that you can watch and follow along, wherever you may be and at a time that suits you. You could even get some friends together and have a craft evening at home! We'll let you know when we have edited the video and where you watch it. You can buy the kits here.

Handloom Weaving Kits - we launched these last year and they were very popular during lockdown! Perfect for beginners and children to get a feel for the craft, as well as more experienced weavers, who can enjoy experimenting with working at a different scale. Easy to set up, portable and fun, you can use them to create woven gifts yourself, or give the kit as a present. We only have limited stock of these so you will need to be quick!
