London Design Festival returns for 2021!

Starting on Saturday 18 and running until Sunday 26 September, the festival celebrates and promotes London as the design capital of the world. There are events, exhibitions, open studios, talks and workshops all over the city - find the full programme on the LDF21 website.

To celebrate London Design Festival, we have a pop-up event for one day only at the flagship Wolf & Badger store in Kings Cross. We will install our studio handloom in the fantastic space in Coals Drop Yard to demonstrate our intricate process of weaving. Come along and get some hands-on experience of weaving yourselves!

One of the team will be present from 10am to 5pm to explain our story and showcase the products whilst sharing all that goes on behind the scenes to create our textiles. Alongside the loom, there will be a display of our ever-popular yarn windings and woven swatches, so you can see the development a product goes through from idea to finished fabric.

Come down, say hello and get up close with our design process! Tickets are free but booking is recommended so that numbers can be managed - book here.

Our studio loom and team will be making another appearance that week, as we set up a stall at the wonderful annual Sheep Drive and Livery Fair, hosted by the Worshipful Company of Woolmen on Sunday 26 September. The day-long event will take place on Southwark Bridge, which will be traffic-free for the day!

The Livery Fair focuses on specialist wool and textile trades, and there will be lots of stalls with products to buy as well as crafts and demonstrations - including us! We will be supporting the Worshipful Company of Weavers (one of the 110 historic City of London specialist Liveries)

All this will take place next to the re-enactment of Freemen exercising their ancient right to drive their sheep over the Thames and into the City to market. It is sure to be an eclectic and fascinating day out; this is a free event, open to the public all day.
