We are excited to announce that the upcoming AW24 scarf collection has been inspired by the work of British painter Fred Ingrams.
We will be previewing the collection during London Design Festival with an exclusive exhibition of Fred's paintings alongside the new scarves, and you're invited!
Fred Ingrams worked as a graphic designer and art director and now spends his time painting the Fens, north Norfolk and Lincolnshire, and the Flow Country, Northern Scotland. Ingrams is interested in the idea of the sublime, and although his brightly coloured landscapes are often painted in nature, they seek to explore and record how people, governments and societies have shaped the way we think about and inhabit the natural world.
We were immediately drawn to the use of striking colour in his work, but the combination of nature and anthropology fascinated the whole design team. Fred is a generous and curious artist and we know that our customers would find him interesting, as well as his work, so we've asked him to join us for an exciting evening event.
Come along to the shop to hear Fred Ingrams in conversation with Harriet Wallace-Jones, where art, creativity, inspirations and more will be discussed, surrounded by colour!
Wednesday 18 September from 6pm - 8pm
24 Lloyd Baker Street, London WC1X 9AZ
There will be an opportunity for questions, previews of the new Autumn/Winter scarves, refreshments, late night shopping and Fred will also be signing copies of his book Flat Earth.
