Florence Hutchings – ‘Looking through the living room windows’ 2018

One of the distinguishing features of Florence’s work is her signature collaging and layering. Which she uses to block, compose and create texture in her work.
This look translates well into weaving using various different structures and techniques, resulting in a ‘pick and mix’ assortment of blocks, stripes and colour combinations.

This ‘dark’ colour-way Is lead by Florence’s choice of deep, rich greys, greens and browns alongside subdued natural tones in conjunction with a hit of bright blue and zingy yellows and oranges.

Wallace Sewell’s signature, multicoloured, 100% silk scarf, juxtaposing bold, asymmetric stripes and subtle structures with a beautifully silken, flat finish.
