Sometimes it is possible to judge a book by its cover. Wallace Sewell collaborated with design consultancy Graphic Thought Facility and art director Peter Saville to produce ‘Interwoven: Kvadrat Textile and Design’, a book which tells the story of this innovative Danish textile company. Wallace Sewell lovingly created the bespoke wool book cloth using hand-dyed wool that was spun and woven in Lancashire. The natural tone of the yarn is flecked with splashes of vibrant dyes evoking the raw state of the wool on the sheep on the cover. The result is that each book is covered with a unique piece of fabric that suggests all the processes involved. www.kvadrat.dk
