Wallace Sewell send out thousands of individual products each year and good packaging is essential to ensure they all arrive in perfect condition.
We’re also mindful of the environmental cost that packaging can carry. That’s why we take great care in selecting materials that protect our products while minimising waste and avoiding unnecessary plastic.
Back in 2019, we made the decision to move away from so-called biodegradable plastic bags. Though marketed as eco-friendly, these were made from plastic compounds that still ended up in landfill, where they could take years to break down. We now use a more sustainable alternative, compostable bags, that aligns better with our commitment to reducing environmental impact without
compromising on quality or presentation.
It is an ongoing process, and greener options will replace old solutions as knowledge improves. We will always seek viable and better alternatives when we can.
At Wallace Sewell, packaging is more than just a practical necessity, it’s another opportunity to put our values into practice.
