Horatio’s Garden Capsule Collection
We launched our 2026 scarves at the start of this month, bringing a fresh palette of colours, patterns, and styles to our main collection. Sitting within this new range is a special project very dear to our studio: a special capsule collection created in support of Horatio's Garden, with every purchase helping more people with spinal injuries find connection and hope during long stays in hospital.
We have selected pieces from our 2026 designs that reflect the peaceful planting, changing seasons, and restorative atmosphere of Horatio’s Garden. Each piece carries a dedicated Horatio’s Garden tag to help you find out more about their work, but we wanted to share the full story behind this collaboration.
Our Connection
We have long admired Horatio's Garden and the extraordinary difference it makes for people after the devastation of a spinal injury.
Founded in memory of Horatio Chapple, who had volunteered at the spinal centre in Salisbury during his school holidays, the charity grew from Horatio’s own research, which identified the need for a beautiful, accessible garden for patients spending many months in hospital.
Since then, Horatio’s Garden has continued to create and care for uplifting, expertly designed gardens at NHS spinal injury centres across the UK.
Having followed the charity's growth, a collaboration has been on our wish list for years, so launching this bespoke collection now is very special for the whole studio.
Inspired by Nature, Gardens, and Art
When selecting the pieces for the capsule collection, we looked closely at the way each Horatio's Garden changes throughout the year. The selected scarves, throw and cushion reflect the colour, rhythm and textures of the carefully planted garden environments, capturing a sense of seasonal change, quiet enjoyment and connection with nature.
The main 2026 collection took inspiration from the natural world depicted in Tirzah Garwood’s beautiful work. Her intricate visual representations of gardens and flora informed our colour palettes for this year, which made this collaboration fit seamlessly within the wider range.
Rather than copying a landscape directly, the resulting textiles echo the natural world. The products chosen reflect the gentle contrast between vibrant floral pinks, the rich variety of greens that foliage offers, and softer, grounding earth tones, bringing the uplifting atmosphere of the outdoors into your daily life.
Photoshoot in the London & South East Garden
All launches need a photoshoot to celebrate the collection and capture imagery to share, and of course, we knew this one had to take place in a Horatio's Garden!
In July, on a very hot and sunny day, we were welcomed to the London gardenat the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in Stanmore.
The day celebrated the people at the heart of Horatio's Garden. The models were former patients who spent months in hospital following a spinal injury and who now support as Garden Ambassadors, helping to share the difference these gardens make in healthcare settings. It was a real pleasure to spend the day with Miriam, Jack, Charlotte, Tracy, and her husband Charlie, alongside the head gardener, Lily.
After being pampered by our make-up artist Friyal Arneil, everyone chose their favourite pieces from the capsule range, bringing their own style and individuality to the shoot. Seeing each model wear the collection against the lush backdrop of the garden made for a wonderful, relaxed day, with that warmth beautifully captured in Eva Nemeth's photographs.
For people recovering from life-changing spinal injuries, hospital stays can mean spending weeks or months largely indoors, often looking at the same four walls. Horatio’s Garden offers something profoundly different: an accessible, beautifully designed place where patients can feel fresh air, spend time with their families, enjoy moments of peace and begin to reconnect with the world beyond the ward.
Having the ambassadors share their personal experiences throughout the day reminded us all of the profound impact Horatio's Garden truly has.
