Monocle x Wallace Sewell
We're delighted to introduce a new collaboration with Monocle, rooted in a shared appreciation for thoughtful design and international craftsmanship. We naturally move within the same creative circles as Monocle, often exhibiting at and appearing alongside the publication at global trade shows and events, and this exclusive capsule collection was born from that mutual respect. Readers look to their pages for inspiration, cultural insight and global recommendations.
It feels particularly lovely to see this collaboration with Monocle come to life, having all started with a trip to Paris. When the conversation first began, Wallace Sewell's Meg and Kate went to meet the Monocle team at their shop and café in the 2nd arrondissement, and what followed was one of those exciting meetings where ideas quickly start to take shape. That first conversation led us to exclusively designing two scarves and two throws exclusively for Monocle, a collection that brings together their distinctive aesthetic with our love of colour, texture and weaving.

Meet Monocle
For anyone not yet acquainted, Monocle is a global media brand, built around a much-loved print magazine covering design, culture, business and global affairs, alongside a 24-hour radio station, a growing network of shops and cafés, and a readership that spans the world's most design-conscious cities.
The result is a true alignment of both brands' shared ethos, one that values design that is considered, forward-thinking, practical and beautifully designed: an exclusive capsule collection containing two lambswool stripe scarves and two basket weave throws. To make the pieces exclusive to Monocle, the woven composition was inspired by classic Wallace Sewell designs and transformed using the Monocle colour palette to reflect the sophisticated, global identity of their audience, landing on two colourways: moss green and Persian blue.

British from start to finish.
As with everything we make, the process behind it matters as much as the textiles themselves. Both the scarves and the throws are woven from 100% merino lambswool, dyed and spun here in the UK, before being woven at a family-run mill in Colne, Lancashire. Where generations of industrial heritage is combined with state-of-the-art industrial looms. From there, the fabric travels to finishers in Yorkshire and Scotland to be washed and milled, before returning to our own team to be made into the finished pieces.
