The Amwell Edit

This autumn, we're presenting our new scarf collection a little differently. As well as our usual studio-based model shots, we asked photographer Flavia Catena to take our new 2026 scarves out onto the streets, and into the hands (and around the necks) of the people who make our community so special.

This year marks 200 years since Amwell's streets, architecture and community began taking the shape we know today. Two centuries on, it remains one of those rare corners of London where independent shops still prevail, where the person behind the counter is passionate about their business and what they do, and where a walk down the street feels like walking through a village.

We spent a sunny day with five of our neighbours, in their own shops, wearing pieces from our new collection.

Meet Harvey (and Nipple the dog) of The Stuffed Pigeon

Harvey curates a diverse collection, ranging from delicate Edwardian pieces to standout 80s gowns. Daisy At The Dairy

Daisy has styled every corner of this former Victorian Dairy with incredible care, from the inspiring window displays right through to the fitting rooms. This shop is filled with a curated mix of antiques, books, and vintage finds, with special events on many evenings. The perfect way to experience the historic charm of this area.

Mr Bingo

Artist, illustrator, and speaker Mr Bingo brings his signature blend of distinctive style and sharp humour to this unique space. The shop is a dedicated showcase, selling his own original art and nothing else. It's a working studio during the week, but the doors open to the public every Friday.

Pete from The George & Monkey

Established in 1824, the pub is celebrating its 200th anniversary alongside the street itself. Come for the history & stay for the unique decor! They offer a wide range of specialist drinks, & their delicious stone-baked pizzas. It is a quintessential London local. If you can, grab a table outside on a sunny day to soak up the charm of this historic corner.

Heaven from Ground Control

This café is dedicated to serving the finest single-origin beans sourced and roasted in small batches direct from the Ethiopian highlands. You'll also find homemade soups, sandwiches, & pastries. It is the perfect spot to pick up a bag of freshly roasted beans or to simply pause for a faultless coffee in a relaxed, industrial-chic setting.

A note on our photographer

We met Flavia Catena for the first time in 2024 at a pop-up run by our good friend Justine Tabak. In the following weeks Flavia visited our shop and studio to take portraits of Harriet and Emma for her British Craft Series.

We have loved and admired Flavia's work ever since, and when the idea for the Amwell Edit started to take shape in the Spring, we knew we had the perfect lady for the job!
