Avenida Home x Wallace Sewell
This collaboration with Avenida Home has been many years in the making. Having exhibited alongside one another at trade shows for such a long time, we've always admired each other's work, catching up on stands, comparing notes, wondering aloud how wonderful it would be to create something together one day. Last year, we finally decided to make it happen.
It felt like a natural fit from the start. Avenida Home was founded by Isabel Saiz in 2010, on an instinct rather than a plan, the belief that the objects we use every day could carry beauty and warmth without being 'kept for best'. Every collection she makes begins with an image, a drawing, a fragment of an idea, developed slowly through collaboration with artists and specialist makers across Europe. It's an approach that echoes our own, and it's what made this partnership feel almost inevitable.
The art behind the design
Emma and Harriet have long used painting as a vital tool in their creative process, to explore colour, experiment with geometric structure, and map out the palettes that go on to define their woven designs. This collection draws directly on that body of work, watercolours originally developed by Harriet for our Art Prints, alongside artwork by Emma first seen on our Printed Silk Scarves, reimagined as bold, geometric compositions for the table.
From the studio to the table
Precision-printed onto Avenida Home's beautifully crafted dining ware, the designs retain every visible brushstroke, the fluid, painterly quality of the originals carried through into something functional for everyday use. It's the same instinct that shapes everything we make, that the objects we live with should speak for themselves, in the details, whether that's a considered Sunday lunch table or a tray left out on the coffee table, catching the light.
Placemats and Table Mats
Ripple and Cosmopolitan, each bring consistent designs in their set, for a cohesive table. Whilst Converge brings four different compositions together into one irregular set. Cork-backed and finished with a heat-resistant, easy-care coating, they're made to be used daily, not saved for best.
Coasters
The same Ripple, Cosmopolitan and Converge artwork in miniature. These are the perfect size for gifting to those who love a small, bold detail. An easy way to bring a little colour to a coffee table or drinks tray, and a natural starting point if you'd like to build up to the full set gradually.
Trays
Much loved designs including Athenaeum 3, Quadrant 1, Intersection 2 and Medici are handcrafted in Sweden from FSC-certified birch veneer. These trays are equally at home carrying coffee to the table or being left out as a statement piece in its own right.
